The Broadband Technician I is responsible for residential installation and disconnections for data, video, and phone on the customer premises with a high level of focus on customer service, customer education, and quality of work. This role will be responsible for ensuring and recording correct RF signal levels. The BBT I is required to communicate with leadership and dispatch as needed.

This position will be based in Astounds Chicago, IL office, and would be an in office/field role.
A Day in the Life of the Broadband Technician:
Residential install and disconnects* (data, video, phone) on customer premises Ensure/record correct RF and signal levels within specifications Communication with leadership and dispatch as needed Customer education Operate company vehicle in safe and responsible manner Other duties as assigned
What You Bring to the Table:
Experience: None required, this is an entry level position Experience in problem-solving, time management, and basic computer skills Strong customer service skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to use a ladder, hand and power tools Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team Must possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record compliant with the company policy
Education and Certifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
