Job DescriptionBroadcast Applications Engineering – Intern/Co-op
About the business unitJoin our enthusiastic, collaborative broadcast applications engineering team. Our product focus is in the area of connected automotive embedded systems including core components of the infotainment system. The software role directly impacts how drivers interact with their vehicles through the audio and visual subsystems. Experience in this niche technology can create a lifetime of exciting and challenging opportunities owing to the annual volume of vehicle production (approx. 100 Million vehicles) and due to the connected car revolution, which is centered around the infotainment unit in every vehicle.
Position SummaryKey Areas of Contributions in this Role:
We are looking for a student who is available from June - August 2025.
You will be part of the validation team and will develop code which drive core functions of automotive infotainment systems. Your main goal will be to write software drivers and/or generate scripts for test automation of our Radio Automotive solutions. You will also be in charge of identifying problems and take actions to resolve them. You will also clearly document all your work for internal and external stakeholders.
ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities in this Role:
Understanding the key elements of the Automotive MSS business unit
Ownership of the developed test or software tools, from architecture, implementation, result format and analysis
Ownership of the test documentation
Qualification and Education RequirementsWorking toward undergraduate or graduate degrees in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science
Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals and methodologies, logical thinking
Knowledge in digital communication would be a plus
Preferred SkillsExcellent written and verbal presentation skills
Meticulous technical documentation authoring and editing skills
Knowledge of software programming tools (Visual Studio, C++, C#, Python or other scripting languages).
Must be comfortable working on challenging problems while being capable of prioritizing and organizing tasks
Driven to meet deadlines while held accountable to high quality standards
Positive attitude with strong desire for customer and team success to maintain our winning culture.

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
