We’re seeking an experienced Broadcast Engineer for our Cupertino-based Production Services team. Production Services manages Campus Conference Center spaces (theaters, conference rooms, outdoor event spaces, etc) providing support for internal-facing meetings and events that help Apple employees stay connected. We achieve this through in-person, virtual, and hybrid experiences.
**Description**
You’ll take responsibility for all technical gear in campus venues to ensure flawless execution during live and recorded events. You’ll be responsible for preventative maintenance, break/fix, and system calibration to guarantee optimum performance at all times. You’ll keep documents updated (e.g., line drawings, SOPs, and service agreements) and assist with system design and specification of gear for various projects. You’ll also operate screening room technology to support creatives, executives, and guests. You’ll use your interpersonal skills and ensure content is properly presented and provide high-touch customer service. When not actively engaged with projects, productions, and venue maintenance, you’ll pivot to help the team in various ways, depending on the needs of the day. This includes cross-training to perform in other operator roles and providing high-touch AV support in conference rooms.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ 20 years of demonstrated experience in a broadcast engineering role in live broadcast environments, such as television studios, remote trucks, or other live event venue.
+ Able to confidently maintain all production equipment in campus venues. This includes audio and video routers, fiber transport systems, frame sync converters, LEDs, video production switchers, captioning encoders/decoders, robotic cameras, audio mixers, etc. You proficiently use test equipment, such as scopes, analyzers, and digital multimeters.
+ Project management experience required for technical upgrades, venue renovations, and maintenance projects. Able to dive into the details and collaborate with integrators to ensure the right equipment and solutions are in place for the needs of the business.

+ Expertise operating LEDs, image processors, and other broadcast, live-event, and screening room technology to showcase content (e.g. movies, television shows, and Keynote presentations) in critical viewing environments.
+ You have CAD skills and are able to update and maintain drawings.
+ You have deep experience with signal routing and monitoring and are familiar with workflows required for transmission to outside broadcast trucks and master control rooms.
+ Refined communication skills: verbal, written, presentation, and listening—able to frame issues, summarize information, and connect across all levels.
+ Strong color measurement and calibration skills, with ability to provide supporting data reports. Experience with HDR workflows.
+ Extraordinary influencer who is great at connecting the dots at the organization, strategy, program, project, and event levels. You’re able to persuade and change the thinking of others without damaging relationships.
+ Comfort working in a fast-paced, growth environment with minimal direction, delivering under tight deadlines while multitasking, re-prioritizing projects, and communicating priority updates to stakeholders.

+ At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $179,000 and $269,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
