BE PART OF THE CONNECTION
As a Broadcast Engineer, you will work closely with the Spectrum News Engineering team. Your responsibilities will range from production support and troubleshooting at the client level, to installation and configuration of broadcast networks and equipment. You will also be responsible for evaluating and resolving technical issues. This includes monitoring the status of all systems and devices connected to the broadcast network, diagnosing problems, and recommending solutions. You may also need to provide support for editing and production.

Required Qualifications
Experience: Maintenance or Broadcast Engineer - 3+ yearsEducation: Associate’s degree in Engineering/Technical Discipline or equivalent combination of education and experienceTechnical Skills: Knowledge and ability to apply terminations/connectors to various types of network cables such as coaxial, twisted pair, and optical fiber cables that carry SDI video, AES audio, RF, and IP signals. Connector Types include BNC, N, F, RJ-45, and D-sub-miniatureSkills: Assist personnel with engineering-related issues while demonstrating professional behavior, including strong customer service skills; assist and advise facilities department regarding issues that affect broadcast operations where applicableAbilities: Ability to install and/or support cross-platform systemsSchedule: Must be able and willing to work various shifts, longer shifts, weekends, and holidays, and be flexible with schedule changes due to "breaking news", and/or severe weather emergenciesValid driver’s license for authorized driving in the State of residencePhysical Requirements

The base pay for this position generally is between $75,200.00 and $120,000.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
