Located at the Canon Factory Service Center in Costa Mesa, CA, the Broadcast Lens Repair Technician I (Representative, Tech Support I) will provide daily support of incoming repairs of Canon Broadcast TV lenses and accessories. You will be trained to perform on-site or in-house repair of ENG's lenses, Cinema lenses, Cine Servo Lenses, Broadcast Studio lenses, Field Lenses and control accessories.

40 Hour Work Week, Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm
This position requires full-time presence at your assigned office(s)/worksite(s)/territory.
**Your Impact**
- Using established company guidelines, perform preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration of lenses and related Broadcast and Communication products
- Provide technical support and training to dealers and support staff via telephone and on site visits, provide information concerning parts and policies, respond to inquiries and ensure a knowledgeable sales staff
- Assist customers, provide information concerning parts, technical advice and schematic technical drawings, and respond to inquiries
- Serve as customer contact on technical and service related issues. May instruct customers in proper use and operation of equipment
- Refer complex problems to higher level personnel
- Receive and inspect incoming items for repair and provide verbal and/or written cost estimates
- Maintain service area and file service repair records
**About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring**
- Typically requires general education and/or vocational training but little to no experience
- Minimum six months troubleshooting, inspecting, testing, grading, repairing or refurbishing experience of electronic and mechanical equipment very helpful
- Following MSDS protocols, utilize chemicals to clean parts
- Ability to read and comprehend service manual instructions
- The ideal candidate will have basic electronics knowledge. Experience working in an electronics repair environment or optical repair experience helpful.
- Ability to use testing equipment including electrical multimeter and various hand tools to perform repairs
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Basic computer skills (Word and Excel)
- Ability to work with small parts to assemble and disassemble products for repair and maintenance, demonstrating attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. (lens/case weight)
- Working knowledge of computer platforms, general application software and networking environments
- Capable of accessing technical websites (i.e. E-Support platform)
- Ability to work in a collaborative work team environment
- Positive internal and external work attitude
- Good customer service skills and abilities
- Travel of 25% or more required. This position requires driving, therefore a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are necessary. Additionally, because this position requires driving for company business as an essential function of the job, must remain in compliance with company safety guidelines and policies

We are providing the anticipated rate for this role: $20.54 - $30.75 hourly
