Job Details:
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for producing the best quality bird for the plant while maintaining low cost and a highly motivated workforce. Key responsibilities include scheduling birds for processing according to weight in relation to plant needs, communicating with growers, providing advice on management practices, and monitoring various feeding and health programs for broilers.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule birds for processing according to plant requirements.Communicate with growers and provide management practice advice.Monitor feeding and health programs for broilers.Plan and coordinate boosting schedules for bird vaccinations.Monitor cost reports, plant production, DOAs, etc., and compare with previous weeks' performance.Work with accounting personnel to ensure accuracy and status of all broiler settlements.Meet with and encourage broiler technical advisors on a weekly basis.Collaborate with equipment companies to ensure efficient layout of equipment.Perform other responsibilities as required.REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.Experience: 3+ years of experience in broiler management or 5 years of broiler service tech experience.Computer Skills: Basic computer skills such as checking electronic mail, entering data into document templates, or creating simple queries.Travel: 1 to 5 trips per year.Supervisory Skills: Responsible for supervising a group of personnel in a single department or work unit who perform similar and/or interrelated tasks and activities.POSITION REPORTS TO: Live Production Manager or Complex Manager. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and effective production of high-quality broilers, maintaining cost-effectiveness, and leading a motivated team.
