Job DescriptionThe Broker Support Manager will provide dynamic leadership to ensure intermediary relationships at a strategic and operational level with the focus on efficiency, growth and profitability in line with intermediary and Santam objectives. Strategy to achieve this purpose will be based on the portfolio of Gauteng North and Northern Regions.
Qualifications and Experience B. Degree – Financial management, business skills AIISA or FIISA or similar. 5 years’ relevant insurance experience. FAIS compliant. Specific Job Objectives To understand, translate and champion the strategic and holistic needs of the intermediary partner and clients. To proactively manage the interdependencies within the team and cross functional. To keep the relationship managers team informed/updated on relevant issues. To ensure good intermediary relationship within the region. To ensure that Santam exceeds intermediary service level expectations. To identify and implement innovative cost-effective delivery solutions. To manage and lead a real team of service consultants to support the coordinated intermediary approach. To facilitate constructive team work dynamics. To monitor and respond to market trends and developments. To monitor and track the utilisation of resources. To evaluate and help implement processes to improve service flow and faster delivery. To monitor and track the implementation against business/ portfolio plan. To see the bigger picture and influence the relationship managers and service consultants at a tactical and operational level. To ensure and deliver on growth and profitability targets across Santam group lines of business. Skills General legal knowledge. Underwriting principles.
