Broker Support - Marsh Specialty

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Construction team at Marsh. This role will be based in Norwich This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

The role: Broker Support – Marsh Specialty  

As a key member of the team, you’ll provide intimate support to both the Client Executive and Broker, and administrative support of the placement process – new business and renewals.  This extends from client/intermediary/market on-boarding, through to collection and distribution of premiums, as well as routine servicing of accounts. 

This will demand an in-depth understanding of CE/Broker requirements, and clients within product lines and/or defined areas, in conjunction with technical knowledge. 

We will rely on you to:

Where appropriate, ensure the loading of prospect details into MPower, and assist with both pipeline monitoring and due diligence queries. Help develop requests for, and monitor progress of, on-boarding/due diligence of clients, intermediaries and markets, as well as routine reactivation ahead of renewals when required, using the appropriate system/process. Assist CEs and brokers in the setting up and management of the placement within broking system. Provide clear direction to Technical Servicing (PS/TS) through the Work Request Form (WRF). Effectively manage/resolve queries, acting as the bridge between CE/Broker, PS, and clients/markets. Ensure timely authorisation of documentation, and distribution to markets/client - debit notes, invoices and evidence of cover. Check to ensure all correspondence between Insurer(s) and client is retained on appropriate files, using both electronic and paper systems. Identify trends and develop MI to maintain and improve business best practice Act as a link between TS and the practice to aid with query response and ensure awareness of the practices position and the systematic chasing of challenging clients/markets.  
 

What you need to have:

Previous insurance administration experience ideally within a broker support/client management role, however this is not essentialThe will to process instructions whilst wanting to resolve backlog of queries Confident and articulate verbal and written communicator The range of specific tasks and depth of the role involvement will be guided by experience and seniority. This role will encompass a range of different grades, dependent upon levels of responsibility and breadth of those tasks.
