Position Summary

As a Brokerage Coordinator-Drayage (Level I), you will be a key member of PYLE’s Port Services team, the fastest growing service lines within our Brokerage division.  Your success will be driven by knowledge of the drayage industry and skills you have developed for relationship management, negotiation, communication, and teamwork. 

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

Interacting with customers to fulfill booking confirmations and delivery orders. Supporting Port Services Opportunities including drayage and our Integrated Solutions Group. Collaborate with other Pyle’s Warehousing and LTL divisions to execute multi-mode shipments. Booking pre-qualified drayage providers on container moves. Identifying, onboard, and develop relationships with new drayage providers. Managing the inland lifecycle of orders including key dates for export bookings (doc cut, cargo cut, port ERD) and import delivery orders (arrival, release, free-time) to proactively avoid additional fees. Auditing carrier invoice documentation including standard charges, demurrage, per diem, and approval of final charges. Identifying, articulating, and internally distributing information about changing drayage market trends, in particular those related to capacity and pricing fluctuations

To be qualified for this position, you must possess the following:

Basic knowledge of import and export shipment life cycles Understanding of Port and Steamship Lines websites focusing on key deadlines. Understanding of LoadMatch.com or other drayage capacity searching services Bachelor’s Degree
