Description
We are in search of a diligent and proficient BA with focus on finance to join our team in the insurance industry, specifically life insurance, situated in CINCINNATI, Ohio. This role involves the development and maintenance of intricate financial, accounting, and operating reports, in addition to performing as a technical expert in multiple areas of application system support and configuration.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with end users and managers to develop business requirements for reporting, system configuration, and product accounting.
• Utilize tools such as Atlassian Jira, Confluence, CRM, and Database to improve upon critical business processes and solve accounting system and program problems.
• Lead and coordinate activities for projects, functioning as a sub-project leader and advisor for assigned Controller projects.
• Act as a consultant for system administration and maintenance functions across Controller systems.
• Supervise the work of others performing system administration tasks, ensuring that systems and processes are designed to meet user needs efficiently.
• Maintain the general ledger chart of accounts and comprehend the changes and their impact on the reporting framework.
• Provide instruction to end users for ad hoc reporting and system administration functions.
• Take ownership of and act as a consultant for the system administration and maintenance functions of various accounting systems.
• Lead the coordination of Comptroller participation in new product development changes, including pre-implementation testing and defect resolution.
• Proactively seek to improve business and technical processes to drive inefficiencies out of the business.
• Assist in the investigation, design, development, and implementation of effective processes and procedures for completing and improving work.
Requirements • Must have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the insurance industry, specifically life insurance.
• Proficiency in Atlassian Jira and Confluence is required.
• Demonstrable experience with CRM and database management.
• Knowledge of AB Testing and Agile Scrum methodologies is essential.
• Must have a strong understanding of business systems and business process functions.
• Experience in claim administration within the life insurance sector is mandatory.
