Summary About the Position: This position is located US ARMY 1ST SPECIAL FORCES COMMAND ACOFS COMPTROLLER in Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Responsibilities Draft and issues interpretations of the Group's budgetary guidance and instruction to subordinate unit and the group's headquarters staff. Prepare reports covering the status of funds, expenses, obligations for each program of the subordinate unit and staff headquarters elements. Execute Group's Budget IAW 1SFC, USASOC, USSOCOM, and HQDA's policies, procedures, and guidance's. Perform Financial Transactions in automated systems such as: STANFINS, RMT, ODS, FINLOG, DTS. Monitors, reviews, and analyzes the execution of approved budgets by subordinate troop units and staff elements. Analyze statistical material in making appropriate recommendations for action concerning budget estimates, obligations, allotments. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing a variety of budget oversight functions in the formulation, execution, and presentation of the operating budget, 2) Providing budgetary guidance, supplemental guidance and instructions to subordinate units and headquarters on budget execution program 3) Employing techniques for funding such as cost-benefits analysis and program trade offs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration or Accounting. OR Cost Benefit Analysis Financial Management Written Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
