Primary Duties: Financial Development, Management and Analysis - + Extract data for systems and update financial reports. + Analyze forecasting models and systems for projecting revenue including fees, expenditures, cash fund and reserve estimates across all business units. + Interpret results of analysis and provide explanation for vacancies and trends in revenues and fees for various business units. + Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of budgetary requirements and deadlines. + Review and monitor actual versus projected expenditures and revenues, which impact overall division and department program activities. + Execute and control activities that have been authorized by the budget and to evaluate financial performance on the basis of comparisons between budgeted and actual operations. + Verify expenditures are posted correctly by program and fund source for program areas. Financial and Ad-Hoc Reporting - + Aid in the production, questioning, verification, and validation of detailed summary reports and financial presentations. + Review and investigate DOR accounting transactions to improve data accuracy. + Create financial reports that align with the goals of the Division. + Identify and elevate potential budget-related problems and concerns to actively work toward a resolution. + Provide ad hoc analysis for assigned programs. Financial Data Reconciliation - + Collaborate with the budget and financial staff across program areas in DOR to compare monthly financial analysis process. + Balance year-to-date actual expenditures and revenue with CORE. + Collaboratively work with budget staff to identify trends and anticipate future issues. + Review and validate budget change requests (i.e. decision items, supplemental requests, budget amendments, and budget comebacks). + Compile and share information with program area in defense of budget change requests to the Budget Director and CFO. This position is mostly remote with occasional in office meetings or training in Lakewood.
