As the Budget Analyst Level IV, you will play a pivotal role ensuring the financial stability for the Law Enforcement (LE) team and Executive team. You will play a critical role in providing budget support to executives and management of the organization. This position requires high level expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership.

Essential Functions

Planning, programming, bud, and execution (PPBE) phases of DoD budgetBudget formulation, enactment, and executionMonitoring organizational spending, managing required reports, and informing senior leaders on the status and availability of fundsManaging the congressional budget process, budget justification documentation development, operation maintenance, research development, and test & evaluation appropriationsOversee budget planning processesMay be requested and required to participate in Proposal Support functions due to expertise

 

 

Work Environment

 This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

 

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

 

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.Expresses or exchanges ideas by means of the spoken word.  Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.Frequently moves standard office equipment up to 25 pounds.Must be able to work indoors 90% of the time.

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Evening and weekend hours required, as required by business need.

 

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.

 

Experience

Minimum of 15 years’ experience of budget management experiencethe congressional budget process, Budget justifications Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with internal and external stakeholders professionally. Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

 

 

Education

High School diploma or equivalent qualification is required. Additional education or certifications in office administration or related fields.

Security Clearance

Must be a U.S. citizen. Must possess and maintain an Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance with sensitive compartmented information (SCI) eligibility and current background investigation.
