And are you looking to apply your natural math and Excel skills to a part-time job that’s interesting and reliable? The New York Public Library has been an essential provider of free books, information, ideas and education for all New Yorkers for more than 100 years. As part of the Library’s mission, the Office of Budget and Planning prepares and oversees the development and management of the Library's budgets, maintains multi-year financial plans, assists managers throughout the Library by providing analyses of the budgets for their units, and works with Development in the preparation of private and government funding proposals. This Budget Associate position will give you excellent exposure to the Budget Office, and provide insight into what has to happen to have a smoothly functioning financial operation. We are looking for candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic, possess solid written, verbal, and Excel skills, and are available 15-20 hours per week, mostly on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 10 am and 5 pm.
