Budget Consultant
Kearney & Company is seeking a Budget Consultant to join our team at 11th Wing (AFDW) Bolling AFB supporting the Air Force! Duties include but are not limited to: Serve as a budget analyst in the installation's budget office, performing a variety of budget functions involving the formulation, execution, and/or analysis of budgets and economic and cost analysis studies for substantive programs and support activities. Support the development of programming and financial planning justification and documentation for inclusion into the wing financial plan. Perform budget formulation involving the preparation of detailed analyses of annual and/or multi-year budget estimates for assigned organizations/programs into a consolidated budget request. Perform budget execution and administration work involving the monitoring of obligations incurred and the actual expenditures of a budget with different sources and types of funding Provide advice, assistance, and guidance on budgeting and related information Conduct analyses, reviews, and special studies of budget and/or related information Use automated budgetary system(s) and computer-generated products in accomplishing budgeting assignments Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university (6 years' work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. Associates Degree PLUS 4 years' work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's Degree). Minimum of 4 years of experience leading DOD resource management and budget actions (e.g. POM development, MIPR execution, etc.) and executing organizational change management practices Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills Willing to work on-site 5 days per week Ability to obtain and maintain an interim U.S. Secret security clearance (requires U.S. citizenship) Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Air Force resource management and budget preferred Experience with Air Force Financial Systems or other Federal agency Overview Exclusively focused on the Government, Kearney & Company provides financial services, including auditing, consulting, and technology services.
