Building Automation Engineer

Company Description

We are looking for a Building Automation Engineer to join our team in Budapest. In this role, you will work on Building Controls systems enhancing energy efficiency and supporting various construction projects across Hungary and the region. The position requires travel based on actual project requirements.

As part of our team, you will also undergo specialized training with the provider of Bosch’s standard building automation systems to ensure you are fully equipped to handle our systems and standards.

Job DescriptionEnergy Efficiency Projects:Support local teams monitoring the performance of Building Management Systems including HVAC, electrical and other systems controlled by BMSConduct regular inspections and diagnostics to identify and address system issuesAnalyze system data to identify optimization opportunities and improve energy efficiencyCollaborate with the global energy efficiency team and its expertsDevelop and implement strategies to omptimize performance and reduce energy consumptionCoordinate the integration of new building management technologies and upgrades into existing systems  Implement energy efficiency measures by optimizing building controls, including:Tuning parameters and controlsModifying control programs for PLCsEnhancing visualization systemsConstruction and Reconstruction Projects:Perform necessary BMS tasks such as programming, commissioning, testing, and servicingSupport locations and BMS contractors in larger scale projectsAddress backlogs by following up on reconstruction works and updating building controls accordingly

QualificationsEducation: Degree in electrical engineering, building automation, mechanical engineering, or a related field.Experience:Minimum of 3 years proven experience in building management systems (BMS) and automation.Hands-on experience with HVAC systems in buildings, with a strong understanding of their operation and controlPractical knowledge of PLC programming and visualization systemsProject management experience is a plusFamiliarity with decarbonization projects is an advantageSkills:Proficiency in control system optimization and energy efficiency measuresFamiliarity with building control systems and protocolsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and collaboration abilitiesProject management skills are an advantageOther:Fluent English with strong technicial language proficiency. German is an advantageWillingness to travel within Hungary and the region
