Building Engineer, Union Depot
**Overview** The Building Engineer supports the designated leadership with the daily operations of all building systems. This includes hard surface maintenance and repair, basic carpentry and metal work, and operating, maintaining, and repairing all facility system equipment associated with HVAC operations and mechanical and electrical systems. **Job Site:** + Union Depot, St Paul, MN **Pay** : $27 - $35/hour _The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. Uses and helps provide best practices to troubleshoot and repair equipment and system problems so that problems are resolved in the most efficient and effective manner. + Maintains continuous operations of equipment by troubleshooting and repairing. + Fosters a work environment that promotes energy conservation and continuous improvement of engineering functions. + Records all pertinent data in building logbooks and makes all appropriate daily entries. + Conducts utility and equipment tests. + Records pertinent data on all equipment in accordance with federal, state, and local codes and requirements. + Demonstrates commitment to quality of service. + Complies and participates in facility-specific safety programs. + Maintains regular attendance in the workplace. + Provides the highest quality of service to the tenants, staff, and visitors at the facility. **Requirements** + 2+ years in the position of engineer + Building Engineer Certifications is a plus, not required + HVAC or Technical school training preferred + Commercial industry experience is strongly preferred + Ability to read and interpret blueprints + As required, the highest-level relevant state/local license for Stationary Engineer and/or HVAC, plus a universal level refrigerant recovery license + Computer skills and building automation systems experience required + Certification meeting OSHA ACM awareness training requirements as required + Working knowledge of energy conservation is required, formal training preferred REQNUMBER: 106818 All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
