**Building Engineer**
**Job Description**
The main function of a Mobile Engineer is to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment on all systems across multiple facilities. Individuals are expected to demonstrate technical expertise in one craft area (Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, Central Utility Plant Operations) and be multi-skilled in others.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform maintenance, monitoring, and repairs to the Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire Life Safety, and Control systems for the facility to keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards as assigned.
+ Travel between multiple facilities ensuring their proper function.
+ Maintain responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing and inventory control, contracted maintenance, general maintenance, and technical proficiency.
+ Maintain equipment by cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and changing parts to ensure HVAC systems and associated equipment operate at optimum performance levels.
+ Record readings and make adjustments where necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment.
+ Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials and maintain a clean and safe workplace.
+ Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory.
+ Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors.
+ Comply with all safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping, and ensure the safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
**Essential Skills**
+ Universal HVAC system knowledge.
+ Electrical trainee card and/or 06/07 Electrical License.
+ Experience in HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and building systems.
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent.
+ 5-7 years of experience in maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
+ Ability to analyze the operation of various Commercial or Industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions, and take corrective action.
+ EPA 608 Type II Certification.
+ Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
+ Valid driver’s license.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ EPA 608 Universal Certification.
+ Two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC.

**Work Environment**
This is a mobile position where you will spend approximately 25% of your day traveling between different facilities. You will be provided with a company vehicle, gas card, iPad, and necessary tools. The role involves working in commercial buildings and ensuring their proper maintenance and functionality.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Everett, Washington.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00
