**Job Title: Building Engineer**
**Job Description**
The Building Engineer is responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electromechanical equipment associated with building infrastructures. This includes HVAC, electrical, plumbing, Energy Management (EMS), Life Safety, and structural elements of various types of buildings. The Building Engineer will complete work orders and repairs across all properties, maintain properties and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion, perform necessary repairs, and assist in completing tenant service requests. Customer service is also a key component of this role.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform detailed, scheduled maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, steam systems, and other specialty items.
+ Conduct preventive maintenance work and enter equipment performance data into maintenance records.
+ Repair, troubleshoot, and assist with the installation of mechanical systems including heating, ventilation, and cooling systems.
+ Ensure maintenance and repair jobs are completed according to established standards.
+ Patrol, inspect, log, and maintain all mechanical, HVAC, electrical, piping, and plumbing systems.
+ Assist with fire/life/safety and security programs.
+ Perform special projects as assigned.
+ Handle sensitive and confidential information, working both independently and within a team.
+ Coordinate, plan, and schedule maintenance and operation of building systems and equipment.
+ Troubleshoot and repair building systems, maintaining appropriate records of actions taken.
+ Communicate and foster teamwork with other team members to ensure successful management of agreements and maximization of opportunities.

+ Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and applicable maintenance programs.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, preventive maintenance, repair, carpentry, mechanical, and painting.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $75000.00
