**Title: Building Engineer**
**Location: 500 Waltham Way, Reno, NV**
**Hours: M-F, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM**
**Assignment Duration: 4-5 months**
**Remote/Hybrid/In-Person: In-person**
**Potential to Convert to FTE: Yes**
**Pay Range: $25 to $33**
**Responsibilities** :
+ Perform advanced preventive maintenance and corrective repair for buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and grounds.
+ Monitor building system operations and performance with limited supervision.
+ Utilize multiple trade skills including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC, and more.
+ Inspect building systems (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) to ensure operational efficiency.
+ Oversee and inspect the work of outside contractors (e.g., landscaping, snow removal, HVAC, plumbers).
+ Perform emergency and preventive maintenance as assigned.
+ Maintain records of maintenance and repairs.
+ Estimate time and materials needed for repairs, and order necessary supplies.
+ Manage energy systems to ensure cost efficiency.
+ Handle building lighting systems and perform welding, carpentry, furniture assembly, and locksmith tasks as required.
+ Respond to emergency situations quickly and effectively.
**Physical Requirements** :
+ Frequent walking, stair climbing, and ladder use.
+ Ability to lift and carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
**Requirements** :
**Experience** :
+ Minimum 10 years of facility maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
**Education** :
+ High school diploma or GED required.
+ Trade school preferred.
**Systems/Software Proficiencies** :
+ Microsoft Office Suite (Teams specifically).
+ Basic computer skills.
**Certifications/Licenses** :
+ Universal EPA Section 608 Certification (refrigerants).
+ HVAC-related certifications (preferred).
+ Certification with forklifts and aerial platform lifts (preferred).
**Skills** :
+ **Must-Have** :
+ HVAC experience (chillers, package units).
+ Repair/maintenance experience (electrical, plumbing, mechanical).
+ Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
+ **Nice-to-Have** :
+ Good communication skills.
+ Familiarity with lockout-tagout procedures.
**Interview Process** :
1. First-round virtual interview (via Teams).
2. Second-round onsite interview with a site tour.
