The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facility maintenance and demonstrate expertise in performing minor repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting building systems. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the facility while maintaining safety and compliance standards. **Key Responsibilities:** + **Maintenance & Repairs:** Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general handyman duties. + **Inspections:** Conduct regular inspections of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural components, to identify potential issues and ensure operational efficiency. + **Troubleshooting:** Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and technical issues promptly. + **Preventive Maintenance:** Develop and adhere to a preventive maintenance schedule to prolong the lifespan of facility equipment and systems. + **Safety Compliance:** Ensure the facility complies with all safety, health, and environmental regulations. Address any identified hazards promptly. + **Vendor Coordination:** Collaborate with external vendors for specialized repairs or maintenance projects. Oversee contractor work to ensure it meets quality standards. + **Inventory Management:** Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies. Ensure adequate stock levels for routine maintenance tasks. + **Documentation:** Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. Report findings and recommendations to the management team. + **Emergency Response:** Act as the point of contact for emergency repairs and respond promptly to unexpected issues. **Qualifications:** + **Experience:** 2-5 years of experience in facility maintenance, building engineering, or a related role. + **Technical Skills:** Proficiency in operating and maintaining HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general handyman tools. + **Certifications:** Relevant certifications such as HVAC, EPA, or electrical licenses are preferred but not required. + **Physical Requirements:** Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand, walk, and climb ladders as needed. + **Communication Skills:** Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with staff, vendors, and management. + **Problem-Solving:** Excellent troubleshooting and critical-thinking skills. + **Flexibility:** Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call availability for emergencies.
