Building Engineer - HVAC - State Farm Stadium
POSITION: Building Engineer - HVAC FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt ASM Global ASM Global is the world’s leading venue management and services company. State Farm Stadium Completed in August of 2006, State Farm Stadium has set the standard in multi-purpose NFL Facilities. The stadium is home to a variety of different events including Arizona Cardinals home games, the annual Fiesta Bowl, international soccer matches, motorsports, trade & consumer shows, and corporate & social functions. Designed with a roll-out natural grass field and retractable roof, the first of its kind in North America, the stadium is capable of converting from a sports facility to a multi-functional event space allowing it to host numerous event types in air-conditioned comfort. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the following, other duties may be assigned: + Accurately maintain records of visual equipment inspections, preventive maintenance tasking, and repairs or improvements. + Primary responsibility will be the maintenance, inspection, controls operation and repair of the electrical and mechanical components of the HVAC system. + Provide reports detailing the times, parts used, and work accomplished related to all daily and event operations repairs, maintenance, and improvement projects for the system. + Oversee corrective and preventive maintenance duties related to HVAC systems + Responds and takes appropriate actions (on-site & off-site) in the event of emergency or critical incidents, i.e. system failures, fires, flooding, or other emergencies + Perform other duties and responsibilities as required in a team-oriented, can-do environment Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. + Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in general maintenance and repair of HVAC + Completion of twelfth grade with specialized training in the building maintenance of HVAC or related systems. + Must possess a valid driver’s license + Experience with the Niagara, Tridium controls platform and related KMC hardware or like building automation platform. + Must possess a good working knowledge of A.H.U.’s, VAV’s, split units and be able to trouble shoot problems with each unit, including belt changes, bearing replacement, sheaves, bushings, shafts, and all other related parts in air system + Knowledge of chemical tests for closed water loop running through chillers + Plumbing skills pertinent to low temp equipment repairs and proper use and handling of refrigerant gasses a plus + Possesses basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office + Demonstrate the ability to develop and oversee a preventive maintenance program for all electrical and mechanical HVAC equipment. + Must be able to directly schedule and oversee subcontractor work including quality and safety checks. + Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and maneuver to work around equipment + Ability to lift 40 lbs unaided + Must be familiar with OSHA requirements + Willingness and to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required + Ability to use Windows based computer systems + Must possess excellent communication skills + Ability to perform work at high heights Skills and Abilities + Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in general HVAC repair, and maintenance of all HVAC related building systems. + Completion of twelfth grade with specialized training in HVAC and/or maintenance. Trade School or apprentice program. + Possession of EPA license is highly desirable. + Must possess a valid driver’s license. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, the individual should an understanding of computer operating systems including MS Office Suite of products.
