Job Summary
As a Building Engineer at The Standard, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, boilers, locks, doors, and building automation systems. You will oversee preventative maintenance and repair work, perform hands-on repairs, and coordinate with vendors and inspectors. The role includes leading training for junior engineers and managing repair projects, ensuring the safety and efficiency of building systems.

Skills and Background You’ll Need
Must-Have:

7+ years of experience in building engineering or a related fieldProficiency with building automation systems, electrical systems, HVAC, boilers, plumbing, and life safety systemsAdvanced experience with hand tools, power tools, and equipment of building tradesFamiliarity with CMMS and Building Management Software (BMS)

Preferred:

AA degree or equivalent training in building systemsCertifications: OSHA 10/30, Abatement & CPR/First Aid, EPA/Refrigerant, BOC I & II, or LMEStrong knowledge of commercial HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems

Physical Requirements:

Ability to walk the property, bend, kneel, climb stairs, and work in confined spacesMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds using proper techniquesAbility to work at heights and on elevated platforms

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

 

Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

Salary Range:

30.89 - 45.19
