**ABOUT THE ROLE**
As a CBRE Union Building Engineer/Technician (mobile route), you will be responsible for preventive maintenance and corrective repairs for a building, industrial system, vehicle, and equipment.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function and are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
**WHAT YOU'LL DO**
+ Conduct maintenance and repairs to the mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems for multiple facilities to keep building systems up to applicable standards as assigned.
+ Review assigned work orders, estimate time and materials needed to complete the repair.
+ Assist with the implementation of a preventive maintenance program to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life.
+ Inspect building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.
+ Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
+ Operate company issued vehicle in execution of daily work responsibilities.
+ Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
+ Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
+ Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
**WHAT YOU'LL NEED**
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Education and Experience
+ High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma.
+ In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
+ Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of building/engineering or job-related experience.
+ Mobile maintenance experience highly preferred.
+ Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record with periodic checks.
**CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES**
Universal CFC certification preferred. Additional certification in one or more of the following: electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
**OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES**
Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

*Should any element of this Job Description conflict with the provisions of an applicable collective bargaining agreement, the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining agreement will prevail.
The pay range for this position is subject to an applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. The negotiated rate for the role is $115,814.40 annually [or $55.68 per hour]. Please refer to the Collective Bargaining Agreement regarding pay scale and benefits.
