The Building Envelope Consultant will be responsible for contributing to the Building Envelope Consulting Services profit center through active participation in projects and interfacing with clients. Operationally, the Building Envelope Consultant will assist in client development and project duties, ranging from building envelope observations and reports, building envelope condition surveys, building envelope system design, and production of construction drawings, details, and technical specifications. Additionally, the Building Envelope Consultant will provide other activities as needed by the Building Envelope Consulting Services Group, including field and office duties, CADD support, report and graphic preparation. Other responsibilities include:
Serve as Building Envelope Consultant and Project Coordinator on building envelope consulting and design work.Perform building envelope field testing, observation and assessment services.Analyze field data, laboratory test results, and perform calculations necessary for completion of technical reports.Submit draft building envelope observation reports for review and final reports for co-signature by senior staff members.Review design and survey documents as needed.Understand, adhere and participate in the Raba Kistner Health and Safety and (BBS) Programs and set a good safety example.Review pre-billing invoices as required.Recommend project purchases, as required, with approval of the Direct Report.Within the first six-month period, achieve average utilization goal of not less than 80 percent. Notify Supervisor, Director, and Facilities Leader of all potential disputes that may lead to legal claims or litigation.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications
High school diploma or GED certification.Minimum 5 years of building envelope observations, assessments, design and contract administration and 1-2 years of related management experience.Possess valid Texas driver’s license and meet company’s auto insurability requirements.At least one of the following registrations from IIBEC are required:
Registered Roof Observer (RRO), Registered Exterior Wall Observer (REWO)Registered Roof Consultant (RRC), Registered Exterior Wall Consultant (REWC)Registered Waterproofing Consultant (RWC)Registered Building Enclosure Consultant (RBEC)Certified Building Enclosure Commissioning Provider (CBECxP)Good oral and written communications skills and ability to work with clients and staff within the organization. Good math skills. Intermediate in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Able to drive company vehicle, manage and complete all assigned jobs efficiently and on time.

This position may require protracted or irregular hours. Flexibility to work irregular hours is necessary due to client needs. Work responsibilities may require out of town travel to Raba Kistner offices, client offices and project locations
