In this position...

As a Building & Facilities Engineer you will lead the specification and delivery of Facility and Infrastructure to support PTO programs, from simultaneous engineering through program launch for all Global PTO sites.

Building and facilities engineering position responsible for:
•    Leading planning and oversight of equipment installation
•    Design of facilities and infrastructure to support manufacturing equipment
•    Direct lead of support equipment launch and commissioning
•    Working as part of a diverse team with process, safety, controls, Ford Land, and plant engineers as well as external engineering and installation contractors to successfully launch manufacturing systems
•    Driving, tracking, and reporting status and progress to peers and leadership
 

You'll have...

•    Bachelor's degree in engineering or significant equivalent experience
•   1+ years of experience in an Industrial manufacturing setting|
•    Hands on installation experience
•    Desire to learn a diverse skill set including, air handling, contamination elimination and prevention, power distribution, foundations, etc.
•    Strong desire to deliver program management, specifically of Installation contractors.
•    Strong organizational skills
•    Equipment and process troubleshooting skills, with a focus on implementing best possible resolutions for the overall enterprise.
•    Ability to coordinate activities and develop timing for building infrastructure and equipment installation across multiple organizations.
•    3D CAD review abilities, ability to read 2D blueprints and construction drawings.

What you'll do...

•    Ensure the identification and capture of lessons learned along with their application to new programs, as well as the impact to existing strategies and standards.
•    Lead simultaneous engineering meetings with Tier I suppliers to orchestrate equipment installation during program reviews with all interested parties.
•    Participate in management program reviews and represent the Facilities and Infrastructure organization in commodity discussions.
•    Define the scope of Equipment Installation and contract appropriate resources to install after reviewing bids and awarding contract.
•    Direct activities of the Installation contractor or internal trades to install and power on equipment according to the required program master timing.
•    Coordinate PTME Process requirements with Ford Land activities to ensure Central utilities support PTME demands.
•    Deliver new model program work for various Powertrain programs.
•    Work with Federal, State and Local jurisdictions, and coordinate necessary building permits and inspections.
•    Liaison with Ford Corporate Fire Protection to ensure adequate fire protection for operations to be compliant with AON Insurance Underwriters.
•    Obtain Architectural drawings and Certified Stamped drawings as required for any non Ford Land delivered, structural, fire protection and coordinate validation testing.
•    Coordinate structural lifting device certification per Ford PTME Standards.
•    Procure any Installation material, equipment rentals, and Infrastructure required to support project delivery.
•    Coordinate and track Program Facilities Funding and maintain financial checkbook.  Support as needed Program studies and financial requirements
•    On-site support: hands-on work with equipment and suppliers.  During launch, travel and on-site presence are required.
•    Oversight of installation and launch of facilities equipment.
•    Work to ensure equipment performance specifications are met and lead successful transfer of equipment to plant manufacturing teams.
