Made Possible.** **Role** Facility Maintenance Professionals are responsible for basic maintenance and repair of the facility, including interior, exterior, and vital systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical). Individuals should prepare to field work request tickets through a CMMS and respond to the general everyday needs of facilities upkeep. **Responsibilities** + Repair small facility-related items such as windows, doors, damaged walls, exterior damage or wear, etc. as skills allow + Maintain the HVAC systems in all plants + Construction skills such as carpentry, painting, masonry, plumbing, roofing and welding + Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills for fixing maintenance issues + Administrative skills for ordering supplies, handling records and scheduling maintenance + Physical strength and dexterity to lift, move and handle equipment + Stamina to deal with long hours standing or walking + Strong verbal and written communication for discussing maintenance issues + Ability to work in extreme hot or cold conditions + Organizational and time management skills **Organizational Relationships** + Interacts with all staff members + Works closely with housekeeping staff + Has access to virtually all functional areas of the company and therefore must be able to handle company property, both physical and intellectual, in accordance with all company policies and directives **Performance Measurements** + Knowledge of Work + Quantity of Work + Quality of Work + Ability to Learn New Duties + Effectiveness with People + Judgment & Decision Making **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** + Ability to work independently and as part of a team + Ability to identify items that need to be done and get them on the appropriate schedules + Ability to accept changes and adjust processes as necessary + Good organizational skills and the ability to work with outside contractors as needed to accomplish tasks + Good written and oral communication skills + Ability to maintain good working relationships with staff + A driver’s license and the ability to drive a pickup truck and a scissor lift. **Education and Experience** + High School diploma/GED required + 1-3 year of previous maintenance experience preferred + Plumbing + HVAC + Construction + Fabrication **Working Conditions** + Performs duties in all conditions – both inside and outside + Noise level is usually moderate but can be excessive at times. + Ability to maintain concentration in an open work area + Ability to work alone for extended periods + Must be able to lift 50 lbs on occasion. + Must be able to climb stairs and ladders, work from roof-level heights, crouch, kneel, work at ground level at or under buildings, plumbing, etc. + Transportation between facilities will be required on a regular basis.
