Job Summary
Under general direction, is responsible for performing administrative and technical work coordinating, planning and organizing the maintenance operations of a large City facility. May exercise direct supervision over assigned staff.

Essential Job Functions
+ Coordinates and supervises activities of personnel responsible for maintenance operations of a large City facility.
+ Coordinates activities of staff responsible for setup of areas for events.
+ Prepares division's budget.
+ Reviews, evaluates, negotiates and monitors commodities and maintenance service contracts.
+ Develops inventory system of equipment and supplies.
+ Develops and monitors performance measures.
+ Develops and revises written operational procedures for division.
+ Prepares correspondence and reports for director's approval.
+ May perform administrative functions related to supervising, such as counseling, performance evaluation, and training.
+ Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.
Job Requirements
+ Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
+ Two (2) years of experience in the coordination or management of building maintenance operations.
+ Must successfully pass all background investigations and maintain a current security identification badge.
+ Must pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Security Threat Assessment and a Criminal History Records check upon employment.
+ Must maintain federally mandated security clearance required to work at an airport at all times.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License.

+ Unless otherwise stated, applicants are permitted to substitute two years of related full-time experience for one year of higher education or one year of related higher education for two years of experience in order to meet the minimum requirements of the job. One year of full-time experience is defined as 30 or more hours worked per week for 12 months. One year of higher education is defined as 30 credit hours completed at an accredited college or university.
+ Applicants selected for employment with the City of San Antonio in this position must receive satisfactory results from pre-employment drug testing and background checks. If required for the position, a physical, motor vehicle record evaluation, and additional background checks may be conducted.

+ Knowledge of administrative and management practices.
+ Knowledge of principles and practices of budget preparation and administration.
+ Knowledge of inventory procedures.
+ Skill in utilizing a computer and other basic office equipment.
+ Ability to coordinate clearly and effectively.
+ Ability to direct the activities of a large number of employees.
+ Ability to develop and monitor performance measures.
+ Ability to develop operation procedures.
+ Ability to review, evaluate, negotiate and monitor commodities and maintenance service contracts.
+ Ability to perform all the essential functions of the position, with or without accommodations.
