**Job Title: Building Maintenance Mechanic** **Job Description** You will perform routine mechanical maintenance and repetitive repair work on the buildings and building support systems. Additionally, you will assist with welding when needed and perform preventive maintenance on machines as necessary. **Responsibilities** + Make all necessary adjustments and repairs to correct operating difficulties. + Replace high failure rate parts, such as light bulbs, filters, ceiling tiles, pipe or pipe fittings, and any component parts. + Perform daily set-ups and start-up of building support systems. + Perform blow-down of boilers and compressors and check on proper operating conditions. + Conduct visual inspections of the building to ensure all functions conform to acceptable quality levels (AQL). + Clean all building support equipment and necessary parts daily. + Service and repair all rooftop HVAC units and air handling equipment. + Operate forklift when necessary. + Participate in facility snow removal. **Essential Skills** + Experience working on air compressors, pumps, boilers, and HVAC systems. + Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with pressure PSI. + Knowledge of electrical systems ranging from 110-220V and three-phase motors. + Experience in running outlets, changing light fixtures, and plumbing (replacing pipes). **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Diversified applied trade experience equivalent to 2 years (preferably in the food industry). + Ability to use hand and power tools, standard measuring devices, pipe fitting equipment, electrical wiring equipment, and plumbing equipment. + Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics. + Experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems. + Experience in repairing and maintaining low-pressure boiler systems and compressed air systems. **Why Work Here?** This family-owned company offers comprehensive benefits, including paid insurance and a 3% match on 401K contributions.
