Building Maintenance Tech
MAU is hiring a Building Maintenance Technician in Augusta, GA. As a Building Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the daily facilities, ground maintenance, and special projects for two MAU facilities. Additionally, support may be provided to other branches and facilities as needed.

Benefits Package Competitive Compensation Package Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits Paid Holidays (11) Paid Vacation Great work environment Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Care Partners Program Health Club Reimbursement Program Additional supplemental benefit programs 401k Salary Continuation Educational Reimbursement FMLA available after 12 months of service Shift Information Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Career Path Facilities Supervisor Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Previous maintenance experience is preferred General Requirements Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong multitasking skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively Adaptability and flexibility in dynamic environments Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Effective collaboration and teamwork abilities Commitment to exceptional customer and client service Technical expertise and proficiency in relevant areas Excellent organizational and multitasking skills Proactive initiative and self-motivation Effective time management and prioritization capabilities Competence in project management and coordination Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills Essential Functions Perform general maintenance across facilities, including changing ballasts and bulbs in light fixtures and EXIT signs, basic electrical repairs, plumbing, and HVAC system upkeep Handle carpentry repairs and renovations, such as doors, windows, walls, and drop ceilings Paint offices, hallways, stairwells, floors, and ceilings as required Maintain grounds through daily trash pickup and parking lot upkeep Assist with moving furniture, boxes, copy paper, and various items throughout the company Manage the daily opening and closing of the 500 Building (Monday to Friday) Respond to after-hours calls as needed, with a company phone provided for 24-hour on-call availability (MAU/MHC) Coordinate vendor and contractor work to ensure adherence to facility safety and housekeeping practices Ensure all facilities meet company housekeeping standards  Run general errands and provide additional support as needed Work Environment and Physical Demands This position regularly utilizes standard office equipment, including computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines, as well as hand and power tools and company vehicles. Work environments may range from temperature-controlled to non-temperature-controlled settings. Physical Requirements

This role may require the following, with or without reasonable accommodation: Frequently lift and carry 25–50 lbs; occasionally lift up to 100 lbs Stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours Climb up to 5 flights of stairs multiple times daily Perform tasks both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Travel Travel requirements for this position are minimal, with occasional overnight stays. Company vehicles are provided for all work-related travel.
