Job Description SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and reliable Residential Building Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in multiple trades, demonstrating the ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently and effectively. The role is essential in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic quality of residential properties.Job DescriptionDuties and ResponsibilitiesGeneral Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and structural components.Repairs: Address and resolve issues related to appliances, building finishes, fixtures, doors, windows, flooring, and other common areas of residential properties.Troubleshooting: Identify and repair complex issues across various trades, including plumbing leaks, electrical malfunctions, and HVAC system failures.Aesthetic Upkeep: Conduct painting, drywall repair, and carpentry tasks to maintain or improve the appearance of the properties.Safety Compliance: Ensure that all repairs and installations meet safety and code requirements.Emergency Response: Respond to maintenance emergencies promptly and professionally, ensuring minimal disruption to residents.Collaboration: Coordinate with property management, vendors, and contractors for specialized repairs or larger projects.Professionalism: Maintain a professional, safe and clean environment, and follow all C&W Services and site-specific health and safety rules and regulations.

RequirementsProven experience in building maintenance or a similar role, preferably in residential settings.Proficiency in multiple trades, including but not limited to:Plumbing (repairs, installations, and troubleshooting)Electrical (wiring, outlets, lighting)HVAC (basic diagnostics and repairs)Carpentry (framing, repairs, and custom work)Painting and drywall repairStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to use and maintain hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents and team members professionally.Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if required).Possess a high school diploma or GEDBasic Computing Skills in Outlook, Excel & WordMust have ability to stoop, stand, climb, frequently lift a minimum of 50 lbs.Must be able to work on a revolving on call schedule.
