Job Description
As a Building Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for driving 500-2000 miles per week to various commercial outlet stores within the region to complete maintenance work orders. The tasks include painting, plumbing, electrical, masonry, cleaning, welding, drywall, and working with locks. You will primarily work alone but can call for assistance on specific projects. Excellent communication skills and technical expertise are essential to fulfill work orders efficiently.
ResponsibilitiesPerform commercial electrical work including troubleshooting light poles, changing breakers, installing new circuits, soldering, and replacing outlets, light switches, and water heaters.Handle residential and commercial plumbing tasks such as drain cleaning and replacing toilets, sinks, and faucets.Conduct painting tasks using touch-ups, hand brushes, and spray guns, including using a 5-gallon bucket sprayer.Complete drywall hanging and finishing, including Level 5 finish capabilities and experience with stucco or EIFS.Work with masonry materials like brick and stone to paste and stack.Perform welding tasks such as MIG, stick, and spot welds for gate hinges or fencing.Handle residential and commercial pad locks and electrical locks.Drive 500-2000 miles per week using your own work van, SUV, or truck to transport tools and equipment.Download and use an app (ADP) to log hours, document work, and communicate via the internal system.Essential Skills5+ years of commercial electrical experience with low voltage systems.5+ years of residential/commercial plumbing experience.Experience with painting using various techniques and tools.Proficiency in drywall hanging and finishing, including Level 5 finish capabilities.Experience in masonry work with brick and stone.Welding skills including MIG, stick, and spot welding.Experience with residential and commercial locks.Ability to drive long distances (500-2000 miles per week).Familiarity with using mobile apps for logging hours and documenting work.Additional Skills & QualificationsValid driver's license and proof of insurance.Own a work van, SUV, or truck to carry tools and equipment.Comfortable with downloading and using the ADP app.Required hand tools: Angle grinder, tape measure, multimeter, channel locks, spare batteries/charger, circular saw, drywall tools, hammer, crescent wrenches, sander, impact driver, speed square, receptacle tester, needle nose pliers, socket/ratchet set, reciprocating saw, drill/driver, levels, non-contact voltage tester, lineman pliers, oscillating saw, and battery power tools.Recommended PPE: Steel-toe boots (any boot is fine). PPE provided includes masks, respirators, harnesses, goggles, gloves, etc., depending on the project.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
