Building Maintenance Worker
**Job Title: Building Maintenance Worker** **Job Description** Ensure that all building systems are functioning properly by performing preventative maintenance tasks, repairing the various systems as needed, and assisting in the planning, management and completion of facility improvement projects. **Responsibilities** + Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure all building systems are functioning properly. + Repair HVAC, plumbing, drywall, lighting fixtures, and equipment as needed. + Assist in planning, managing, and completing facility improvement projects. + Conduct snow removal during winter months. + Help with additional responsibilities as needed. **Essential Skills** + Experience in building maintenance and facilities maintenance. + Proficiency with hand and power tools. + Knowledge of electrical repair, plumbing, HVAC systems, and mechanical troubleshooting. + Ability to read schematics and blueprints. + Skilled in preventive maintenance, painting, wiring, and cleaning. + Good mechanical skills. + Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and listening skills. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Basic knowledge of electric, plumbing, and carpentry. + Working knowledge of refrigeration systems is a plus. + Ability to read piping and wiring schematics is a plus. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy comprehensive health insurance with Vision and Dental coverage, including three different plans to choose from. Upon hiring, you will receive your own workstation with an iPad to track hours, read prints and work orders, and perform documentation. You are allowed to wear one earbud and listen to music while working, and the dress code allows for t-shirts and durable shorts. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elmhurst, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
