Building Materials Order Picker/ Forklift Operator – Jacksonville, FL

Weyerhaeuser Jacksonville Distribution Center is currently seeking a Forklift Operations Associate. Under the direction of the Site Operations Manager and designated leaders, this position is responsible for all activities associated with the movement and handling of materials related to wood products in theyard/warehouse.

Our entry-level pay rate starts at $19.00 per hour. Start time is 8am.

Key Functions:

Safely operate and maintain propane or gas forklift to move products from stock lines to stagingand/or cut stations.Safely pick orders manually and with the assistance of a forklift.Safely load and unload products from various trailers.Safely do your job to ensure your personal safety and the safety of others.Safely operate a chainsaw and battery-operated power tools.Courage to intervene in any unsafe practices.Wear all personal protective equipment as required.Accurately perform basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, and multiplyingAccurately count pieces and units, record totals and document shipping and receiving activitiesDevelop in depth knowledge of building material products and warehouse operations.Commit to quality, efficiency, and continuous process improvement.

This is not an inside warehouse position. This role will perform manual labor 55 - 65% of the time.
