Job Details Job ID: 4871249 Job Description Office Building Assistant - Attendance Description EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The Office Building Assistant - Attendance - The individual will provide administrative and support to the Building Principal and Assistant Principal(s) to include providing information, recommendations, and/or direction to students, faculty, staff, and the general public in the area of meeting the state guidelines in regards to student attendance. Assure smooth and efficient operation by the school office to maximize positive impact on the education of children. The Office Building Assistant – Attendance will also help with additional office duties at the direction of the Building Principal and Assistant Principal(s) ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. + Involved with the processing of student attendance. Coordinating parental attendance hearings and maintaining student records such as class rosters, weekly attendance reports, enrollment, and student files. + Call the homes of absent students who have not called the school to excuse absences and the setting up of attendance meetings for students that have reached state determined levels. + Maintain a wide variety of manual and electronic documents, confidential and non-confidential files, and records (e.g. calendars, appointment schedules, resource materials, etc.) for the purpose of providing up-to-date reference and audit trail. Submits required records, complete and concise reports on time. + Perform record-keeping and clerical functions for the purpose of supporting assigned Administrator and/or department. + Prepares written materials (e.g. reports, forms, letters, memos, budgets, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, and/or conveying information. + Provide supervision of students at the discretion of the Building Principal and Assistant Principal(s). Areas involved could include hallway supervision, lunchroom supervision and after-school supervision as assigned.
