\nWe are a service-related team of technicians and tradespeople integrating solutions to help our customers with their day-to-day needs to keep their buildings fully operational 24-7. The Sr Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the operation and maintenance functions within designated facilities that include a portfolio of buildings, performing a wide variety of maintenance, repair, minor alterations, and service functions. Responsible for maintaining equipment in a manner that produces a safe, healthy and clean building environment. The ability to handle emergencies and deal with events effectively with limited support and supervision is essential. The successful candidate is a dynamic individual who is organized and driven towards teamwork and organizational success. Strong customer service skills required, and the ability to deal with a broad range of clients tactfully.
\nResponsibilities include, but not limited to:
\n\nYou will support the Team by understanding priorities and safety requirements\nRespond to all calls promptly, which includes being on-call on a rotating basis\nBe able to solve major problems, either mechanical, technical, or customer relations.\nIssue work permits for on-site third-party vendors\nMaintain all service tools and equipment in good working condition and arrange for repair or replacement\nPerform risk assessments for any jobs\nLocal travel to different sites; a company vehicle is provided\nSafety conscious always.\n\nYOU MUST HAVE
\n\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in facility maintenance\nMinimum 4th class ABSA Power Engineering certification\nValid Driver’s License with a clean record\nMust pass required enhanced security checks.\nWE VALUE
\n\nTrade certificate such as Plumbing, Mechanical, HVAC, Millwright, Electrical etc.\nStrong knowledge of safety practices and working in industrial applications\nWorking in a team environment\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills that enhance promoting good customer relations, discussing problems, making recommendations, and preparing required reports\nIndependent worker and a self-starter with a hands-on focus\nComputer proficiency – Computerized Maintenance Management System - QFM\n\n\nABOUT HONEYWELL\n
