In the Building Products Leadership Development Program, you will develop a well-rounded insight into NVR’s Homebuilding Operations through exposure to our Manufacturing, Procurement, Architectural Design, and Homebuilding teams and gain a unique opportunity to experience many facets of our business. You will leverage your education and experience to establish yourself in NVR’s big picture and affect positive change. Upon completion of the program, you will assume a leadership role where you will make an impact on the business and grow your career.
What you will be doing / how you’ll make an impact:
Manufacturing
+ Develop a working knowledge of Manufacturing Operations and NVR’s Brand Promise expectations for interfacing with other NVR departments.
+ Lead teams to achieve goals in the areas of scheduling, quality, cost, delivery, safety, inventory management, staffing, and employee engagement.
Procurement
+ Develop a robust understanding of NVR’s supply chain and how to leverage deployment strategies to meet objectives.
+ Engage in category management, pricing and contract negotiations, supplier risk assessments and reviews, and evaluating products and technologies for NVR’s business.
Architectural Services
+ Lead teams and collaborate across operations to identify opportunities and implement strategies, which will improve operational efficiencies and key performance metrics.
+ Conduct market analysis to enhance product knowledge of NVR’s competition.
Homebuilding Operations
+ Partner with Homebuilding Operations teams to establish a working knowledge of various business segments, to include land acquisition, costing, sales, construction, and warranty.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering related field
+ MBA and leadership experience preferred
+ 3+ years progressive work experience, preferably in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Construction, Civil Engineering, or Finance
+ Excellent problem-analysis, critical thinking, and persuasive communication abilities
+ Skilled in collaboration and conflict management
+ Experience converting financial analysis into meaningful recommendations which drive the business
+ Highly reliable and organized
+ Able to travel, as needed
+ Willingness to relocate upon completion of program preferred
