Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Building Service Attendant - 38th st.

In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for overseeing work activities of Building Service Attendants housekeeping within the operating room. Cleans, disinfects and sanitizes identified clinical equipment and rolling stock.

Job Responsibilities:

Maintains established safety and infection control guidelines. Follows established departmental safety guidelines for equipment and movement of furniture; utilizes proper body mechanics. Requests assistance when lifting or moving items too large or too heavy. Wears gloves at all times and follows established infection control procedures. Advises supervisor of any hazardous conditions. Posts appropriate wet floor signs and takes other actions to prevent accidents caused by wet floors as designated by departmental policy.Performs other duties as assigned.Assists with directing Building Services attendant, facilitates completion of housekeeping duties within the Operating room and provides support to supervisor.Sweeps, Mops, vacuums, collects trash, polishes floors with automated and cord machines, performs high/low dusting, removes finger marks, makes beds/stretchers, washes vertical and horizontal ledges, cleans furniture, cleans Venetian blinds, radiators, railings, stairwells, lights, vents, doors, door frames, picture frames, vents, clinical equipment and rolling stock. Washes attendants closets, equipment and replenishes cleaning supplies.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a One year of related experience required. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand simple English instructions. Heavy lifting is required.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $42,076.85 - $46,362.21 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
