About DTMB:
The Department of Technology, Management and Budget (https://youtu.be/H\_IrVnVjcoA) supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems.
About this position:
This position functions as a first-line supervisor coordinating and directing the work of subordinate trades staff in a complex work area. This position oversees a crew of multiple skilled trades employees and assists in supervising the operations of state employee-occupied buildings.
Responsibilities include coordination, direction and scheduling of labor and trades personnel, and their work, relating to the repair and maintenance of state-owned and operated facilities. Oversee the safe use of equipment and materials, inspects work, equipment and tools to ensure compliance with codes, guidelines and safety standards. Selects and assigns staff and ensures proper labor relations and conditions of employment are maintained. Ensures proper completion and documentation of preventative maintenance in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Ensures proper collection of equipment information and operating conditions. Manages storage and integrity of electronic data, relating to commercial buildings/equipment and conditions. Ensures proper analysis of data and use of data to maximize energy efficiencies and equipment longevity while minimizing downtime. The employee will provide customer service with courtesy, respect, and attention to detail, work cooperatively with staff, and assure all staff are customer service-oriented, expressing a positive and helpful outcome to projects and daily interaction with tenants. The employee assumes the zone’s Facilities Supervisor’s duties during their absence.

Three years of experience equivalent to the experienced level in a recognized skilled trade or one year equivalent to a crew leader in a recognized skilled trade.

Vacation and Sick Leave:Eligible full-time employees receive between15 and 35 personal daysand 13 sick daysper year that may be rolled over to the following year if not used. Eligible employees also receive an additional day each year for community service or school functions.
Paid Parental Leave:Eligible employees can take 12 weeks of paid leaveimmediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.
Paid Holidays:Eligible employees receive 13 or 14 paid holidays each year including New Year’s Eve and Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Election Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Friday, Christmas Eve and Day.
