Bulk Equipment Tech

The Bulk Equipment Technician is responsible for the support and maintenance of Micro Pumpers (MP), Bulk Truck, and Bulk Equipment delivery systems.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Provides basic educational training on MP, bulk truck, and bulk plant operations. Responsible for diagnosing operational problems and plan the sequence of repairs. Provides trouble shooting advice and updates to troubleshooting log. Effectively communicates existing maintenance issues to supervision. Responds promptly to Driver’s Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) issues. Serves as liaison with all departments to support operational schedules. Provides ‘back-up’ driving services for CDL drivers and bulk loading activities as needed. Provides lead role on MP maintenance needs. Performs out of town and state travel as necessary. Performs all other duties as assigned. Demonstrates a commitment to the “Safety First” mantra throughout the company.

 

Skills & Abilities

Strong and effective communication skills. Self-motivated with ability to work individually with minimal supervision. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Has strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate equipment safely. Maintains basic tools and diagnostic equipment to perform daily functions.

 

Education & Experience

High School diploma or GED required. Holds a valid CDL A/B License with HAZMAT and Tank endorsement. 3 (three) or more years of bulk truck operations experience. Basic mechanical maintenance background, bulk operating systems experience preferred.

 

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 50 - 80lbs. Performs work on uneven and loose surfaces. Stooping and bending 30 – 40% of the time.
