The Wire Buncher Operator is responsible for the setting-up and the operation of the buncher to combine component sub-assemblies into a twisted cable.
Essential Duties:
Strive to achieve continuous improvement in all activities, processes, and with all projects at Dekoron.Understands and follows safety practices and the ability to promote safety in all processes and activities.Ability to perform quality work without supervision.Load payoff(s) using hoist.Load with sub-assembly to properly correspond with lay-up chart.Load tapes, binder and fillers as required on appropriate payoff equipment.Set-up equipment with proper dies, gear ratios, tensions, payoff angles to perform function and perform external setups while in operation.Operate main equipment and auxiliary equipment to perform functionMaintain manufacturing control system paperwork (line logs, move tickets, etc.)Inspect product/samples for quality acceptance and maintain logs, SPC forms, etc. as required.Unload completed product using hoistClean equipment, tools, etc.Maintain work area housekeeping and assists in department housekeepingUnderstanding and knowledge of when to report unusual conditions, defective material or equipment to a supervisor in a timely manner.Ability to follow correct procedures for Kanban of insulated wire, bare drain wire, and shielding tapesCommunicates with other shift operators as to schedule and/or problemsAssists with training of new employees; assists with cross-training of current employeesPerform other duties as assigned.Education and Experience Preferred:
High School diploma or equivalent, requiredTechnical training, preferredLicenses or certifications are not required for this positionExperience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred, but not requiredKnowledge and Skills Preferred:
