**Job Description** We are seeking a skilled mechanic for the repair and maintenance of buses. In this role, you will be given responsibilities such as troubleshooting repair needs, independently completing minor repair projects, or directing projects requiring a team effort. Your key responsibility will be diagnosing problems and performing standard mechanical repairs on customer equipment. You will work from shop orders, specifications, manuals, schematics, prints, and instructions. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a variety of systems and related components, including aerial devices, fire pump systems, steering systems, braking systems, suspensions, charging and cranking systems, drive trains and a wide range of electrical, pneumatic, and Motor Vehicle Air Conditioning (MVAC) systems. **Hard Skills** + Troubleshooting of basic engine and transmission problems + Testing components to meet all applicable and required standards + Identifying and locating defective parts/components + Removing and replacing parts/components + Making required adjustments + Conducting stationary tests and verifying or certifying that product meets specifications and quality standards **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
