Department Summary:
The MITRE Corporation’s Cost & Business Analytics Department is seeking a cost analyst to support multiple projects solving our customers’ most critical economic challenges. We are seeking a Senior Business Administration employee to join our team. This department serves as a vanguard for MITRE to meet the future needs of our customers requiring technical excellence while encouraging creativity and fostering interest in the intersection of emerging technologies, cost, business, and economic impacts across its diverse membership. Roles & Responsibilities:
Planning, coordinating, and keeping contents of key departmental meetings focusedContinually assessing, proposing improvements to, and overseeing the execution of L213 operationsInteracting with the department leadership team to enable the day-to-day business operations and recurring business activities.Tracking and Analyzing L213 business operations data (e.g., staff location, sponsor support, awards, demand signals, approval requests (e.g., over per diem, fee requests), etc.) to inform business operations decisions.Helping to oversee strategic business initiatives from ideation to implementationIdentifying and helping solve core problems or opportunities within selected business processesProviding support and oversight for special projects and initiativesManaging, facilitating, and serving as Workday delegate for HR functions, particularly in support of annual assessments, salary management, and promotion process management.Managing, facilitating, and serving as Clarity delegate for project-related staffing, allocation management, budgeting, and all related activities.Ensuring L213 department staff comply with mandatory corporate training program requirementsAssisting in managing (defining, executing, and tracking) training initiatives.Assist in managing (defining, executing, and tracking) special events, projects / requests.Bridging between department leadership, departments, and internal shared service stakeholders to facilitate department seasonal employee hiring, departures, transitions, execution of performance management program as well as L213 on-boarding program.Providing leaders with recommendations and consultations to improve teamwork, efficiency, and engagement to help drive improvements in the organizationServing as L213 primary POC for Communications Management, including the following:Managing curation, distribution, completeness, and access to capability area materials and repositories for use both within L213 and across MITRE.Curating L213 digital content & structure – including both technical repositories as well as business process management repositories and tools – and initiating business process improvements as needed.Facilitating production and publication of recurring department literature.Managing the department manager’s schedule, scheduling meetings, and planning travel with appropriate care and attention to detailResponding to inquiries on behalf of the department manager as directed.Serve as backup/alternate to other division business operations assistant.Support the development and implementation of business operations strategies, processes, and initiatives to improve efficiency and performance. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to identify, analyze, and resolve operational issues and bottlenecks. Develop and maintain performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools to monitor business operations and inform decision-making. Assist in the preparation and management of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with regulations and standards. Provide project management support for key business initiatives, including planning, resource allocation, and progress tracking. Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance business operations and drive organizational growth. Assist in the development of communication materials and presentations to support business operations initiatives and updates.Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a minimum of 2 - 4 years of related experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent in education, or 2 years’ experience and an Associate degree, or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.Proficiency in SharePoint.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software tools.Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with leadership and cross-functional teams.Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to interpret complex data sets to inform decision-making.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify core issues and propose effective solutions.This requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of the following clearance(s):
