Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Business Administrator for the Child Health Institute of New Jersey (CHINJ) and Center for NeuroMetabolism (CNM) at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

This position serves as the chief financial and administrative officer for the Child Health Institute of New Jersey (CHINJ); and for the newly developing Center for NeuroMetabolism (CNM) within the CHINJ. Essential responsibilities include: preparation of annual budget and monthly financial statements for individual laboratories, CNM and CHINJ; pre-award and post-award grants administration; review and approve expenditures; serve as institute human resources manager; provide strategic planning and advice to the Institute and Center Directors; etc. 

Among the key duties of this position are the following:  Prepares and monitors the annual budget.   Responsible for the financial management of the RBHS Chancellor’s Office major investment in the CNM (approximately $22 million) as well as for the management of the on-going CHINJ budget.  Oversee the recruitment of the planned new 10-12 new faculty. Responsible for pre-award and post-award grants administration.  Reviews and approves expenditures in the Rutgers MarketPlace procurement system.  Serves as the departmental human resources manager. Responsible for the oversight and management of the administrative activities of CHINJ and CNM. Responsible for managing the space occupied by CHINJ and CNM in the CHINJ Building and the new Rutgers Health Building (aka HELIX).  Position Status Full Time Hours Per Week Daily Work Shift Day Work Arrangement This position requires a fully on-site work arrangement.
