The Business Administrator I I, under general supervision, performs highly complex work planning, directing and coordinating services directly related to th e full range of business operations including reviewing and approving business documents and developing, monitoring, and reporting accounts, budgets and other quantitative data on behalf of the Evidence Center.

Texas A&M Agriculture, Food, and Nutrition Evidence Center (Evidence Center) is a newly created center with the mission to be an authoritative source of objective information and analysis on the Agri-Food system ’s effects on health, the environment, and the economy.
The Evidence Center conducts and publishes state-of-the-art research synthesis studies of different types (e.g., systematic reviews, meta -a nalyses) important for understanding the impact of agriculture, food, and nutrition policies on human, environmental, and economic health and sustainability. The Evidence Center drives the next generation of research synthesis methodologies that are rigorous and transparent and acts as a leading convener in gaining global consensus on standards of evidence, as well as promotes and strengthens public trust in science-informed policies and solutions. This position will be located in College Station, Texas and may require travel to the Texas A&M Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Evidence Center located in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Texas A&M Agriculture, Food, and Nutrition Evidence Center seeks a Business Administrator II who will manage the full range of business activities including reviewing and approving business documents and developing, monitoring, and reporting accounts, budgets and other quantitative data on behalf of the Evidence Center.
Essential Duties/Task s
The Business Administrator I I, under general supervision, performs highly complex work planning, directing and coordinating services directly related to th e full range of business operations including reviewing and approving business documents and developing, monitoring, and reporting accounts, budgets and other quantitative data on behalf of the Evidence Center.
+ Oversees the full range business operations of the Evidence Center ; advise s the Director and Evidence Center leadership on matters relating to business operations.
+ Manages business processes, such as purchasing , reconciliation, reimbursements, travel reports, account reconciliations, etc.
+ Manages capital equipment purchases and maintains inventories for capital equipment, IT equipment, software, etc. in collaboration with the office manager .
+ Manages the development of annual budget & research proposal documents for approval and makes recommendations; assists in the planning, preparation and implementation of budget activities.
+ Oversee s post-award spending, payroll allocations and assists with budget projections on all Evidence Center grants and contracts.
+ Manages the administration of funds related to Evidence Center operations, including use of resources.
+ Reviews and approves account reconciliations. Assists with the management of financial transactions, including assigning costs to appropriate accounts and projects.
+ Monitors and controls operating expenditures and makes projections.
+ Develops complex administrative, financial, and statistical analyses and summary reports.
+ Facilitates planning and linkages with existing funded projects or research efforts with Evidence Center leadership.
+ Works as a liaison with program managers and sponsored projects officers regarding funding, compliance and required reporting.
+ Advises leadership on the appropriate use of sponsored funds.
+ Prepares complex monthly and annual financial reports, including c oordinat ing annual fiscal year closing activities and draft ing new fiscal year plans.
+ Ensures key personnel commitments on all sponsored projects have been met and all spending is within the guidelines of the project.
+ Manages GSA ( General Services Administration) contract. ( This is a s pecialized contract the Evidence Center has allowing them to provide services at pre-negotiated rates to government agencies , upon submission of approved proposals.)
+ Attends AgriLife Business Matters Meetings and other relevant AgriLife meetings.
+ May supervise business staff and/or student workers .
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience :
+ Bachelor ’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Six years of related experience.
Preferred Experience:
+ Experience working in a university system administration .
+ Experience with sponsored projects and related financial activities.
Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Strong written and verbal communications skills, and excellent interpersonal abilities.
+ Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
+ Proven ability to collaborate with others.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc .
+ Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Preferred Know ledge, Skills and Abilities :
+ Ability to manage multiple projects under timelines .
+ S trong organizational and time management skills; attention to detail .
+ Strong working knowledge of all related financial systems including FAMIS/Canopy, Maestro, AggieBuy , Workday, Business Objects and Concur .
+ Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-dimensional work environment with a high degree of professionalism, accuracy and consistency .
Other Requirements and Factors:
This position may require travel to the Texas A&M Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Evidence Center located in Fort Worth, Texas.

Salary: Compensation for this position is commensurate based on the selected candidate ’ s qualifications.
