As a business analysis manager on the NA FP&A team, you will contribute to Starbucks’s success by leading the finance support for North America G&A, including the development of budgets and forecasts, as well as reporting on variances monthly and quarterly. NA FP&A is looking for a highly autonomous and analytical professional with exceptional communication skills, strong relationship-building abilities, and the ability to guide peers and leaders in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

 

As a business analysis manger in North America FP&A, you will…

 

Lead annual budgeting and intra-year forecasting for G&A. Work closely with cross-functional business leaders and finance teams to develop annual headcount and G&A expense budgets, and update forecasted variances to budget with regular forecasts. Clearly communicate the outcomes of these with business and finance leaders.  Generate month-end results narrative. Conduct in-depth analyses to generate actionable insights and help inform and guide decision making related to headcount and G&A. Perform ad-hoc G&A analyses. Partner closely with business and/or finance partners to conduct insightful scenario analyses to support decision making. Streamline and enhance processes: Identify and implement innovative solutions to optimize systems and workflows to unlock efficiencies and drive effective collaboration across teams.

Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with business partners and finance partners vertically and horizontally throughout the organization Ability to effectively communicate and present financial information clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, to stakeholders and senior leaders Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills with strong attention to detail and robust analytical skills. Ability to see implications and provide consultative solutions and recommendations Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment Working knowledge of financial systems including, but not limited to, Anaplan and Essbase/Hyperion preferred

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above.  For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

 

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.  At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
