Business Analyst, Customer Trust External Relations
Description The Customer Trust External Relations (CTXR) organization works to ensure positive public perception of Amazon's trustworthy shopping experience. We are the safest place for customers to shop online, and the customer-obsessed tools our teams build help ensure customers have a trustworthy shopping experience in our store every time with every product, whether purchased from Amazon or from the millions of sellers in our stores around the world. An important part of CTXR’s charter is using data and insights to identify risk so program teams can engage early to ensure external perception matches the reality of Amazon’s trustworthy shopping experience. This position requires innovative thinking, ability to quickly approach large ambiguous problems and apply reason, and technical expertise to rapidly research, validate, visualize, prototype and deliver solutions. CTXR also acts as an internal advocate to help internal teams increase positive perception of their work, the Business Analyst will use business metrics to quantify the impact of process and system gaps that may impact external perception. A successful candidate will develop a strong understanding of our business, customers, and make data-driven conclusions. They have experience using both internal and external data sources to identify risk and quantify impact. They will be comfortable with ambiguity while working in a fast-paced dynamic environment. They will also continuously learn new systems, tools, and industry best practices to help design new tools that help our team automate, and accelerate analytics. Key job responsibilities • Oversee business reporting and analytics • Understand input drivers and validate integrity of the reporting to influence strategic decision-making and planning • Manage rhythm of the business deliverables through building and planning, forecasting, and reporting models • Generate actionable insights through the development of metrics, dashboards and deep dive analyses • Communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner • Influence critical business decisions with data • Define reporting requirements and independently manage timelines for recurring and adhoc deliverables. • Lead the creation of internal processes, including writing and reviewing business documents and project proposals. Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience - Bachelor's degree or equivalent - Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights - Experience with Excel - Experience with SQL - Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree in business or analytical discipline - Experience partnering with executive-level leaders to identifying and solving business issues - Experience leading LEAN or Six Sigma process improvement programs - Superior attention to detail - Expert-level knowledge of SQL - Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills - Advanced financial modeling & analytical skills Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
