Business Analyst, Demand & Sales Planning

The Business Analyst, Demand and Sales Planning is responsible for delivering business critical insights and driving optimization within the sales and demand planning teams. This role ensures access to information through reporting, analytics and clear communication. By providing accurate, timely contributions, this person is a trusted partner on the planning team.

JOB EXPECTATIONS

Own all regularly scheduled demand and sales planning reports and provide insight on observed changes in business Develop and own roadmap for data and analytics needs, planning for current and future needs Collaborate with the cross functional planning team to provide analytical support and respond to ad hoc requests for information Deliver high quality analysis built on business acumen, and relevant analytical / statistical techniques Provide creative solutions to problems by leveraging available data and tools Build and maintain a “one source of the truth” set of analytical models/tables to ensure cohesive planning data Ensure integrity and accuracy of all planning data, escalating to appropriate resources when appropriate. Coach and train team members and communicate highly complex and dynamic information in new and creative ways Continuously learn and apply new technologies, tools, and techniques Other job duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED:

Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Statistics or a related field 2+ years of relevant experience Experience in data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar Strong analytical skills and an active problem solver Strong communication and presentation skills Demonstrated attention to detail Experience in a demand or sales planning function and has developed a planning intuition Solid project management skills and the ability to meet deadlines

PREFERRED:

Interested in and knowledgeable about the apparel or retail business Experience working in a buying office Exposure to demand planning software (e.g. Logility, JustEnough Demand Management) Experience with data transformation tools like dbt Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R Experience working with large datasets and statistical analysis techniques
