Job Description:

Reporting to the Director, Global Contingent Workforce Program, this role is accountable for organizing and analyzing a multitude of data sources to build meaningful, measurable, and actionable insights and foresights for the Enterprise’s Global Contingent Workforce Program. The role requires partnering with internal (e.g., HR, Procurement, Finance, Technology) and external (e.g., MSP, suppliers, vendors, other organizations) stakeholders to navigate the data available through internal Sun Life systems as well as third party sources related to non-employee worker data. This role is a deep subject matter expert in contingent workforce analytics and is responsible to deliver global contingent workforce insights by designing, driving optimization and integrating contingent worker insights into the broader Total Workforce Management strategy and other HR business strategy initiatives.

Key Accountabilities:

With a focus on contingent workforce analytics –

Bringing the expertise of contingent data workflows and impact on data, responsible for the program’s global data design (data fields, in/out analysis, impact analysis, etc.), including identifying and delivering best practices for contingent data and incorporation of such data into total workforce management, driving the program’s defined objectives by showcasing outcomes/results

Leverage data from various sources such as Vendor Management Systems, Finance/Treasury systems, MS Excel, Security Access Management systems, OneModel or others to create relationships between data and develop multidimensional data models

Accountable for organizing and analyzing data to build meaningful, measurable and actionable insights, specializing in contingent workforce data flows

Drive ongoing enhancements to continuously improve all Program analytics and reporting

Document reporting requirements, procedures and business rules to support the delivery of reporting to stakeholders

Respond to inquiries that require deep subject matter expertise

Responsible for creating, building and designing visualizations and dashboards, understanding business requirements in business insights context and design data models and further sustaining such designs and solutions

Track strategic SLAs and KPIs for key business stakeholders to make data-driven decisions

Manage the delivery / operational and day-to-day analytics activities required to support at the global level

Monitor industry trends and best practices in contingent workforce management analytics, identifying, presenting opportunities and recommendations to enhance the program's effectiveness and further executing upon approval

Troubleshoot and resolve data anomalies, initiate data validation and ensure data integrity, reconciling and analyzing data quality

Train business users to fully leverage business intelligence tools, as needed

By leveraging data and reporting, engage with multiple stakeholders across the Enterprise including Workforce Analytics, Finance, Treasury, and IT teams to tackle problems and identify trends and opportunities

Maintain regular communication to update partners on progress made on projects/initiatives

Key Skills:

In-depth knowledge and experience in contingent workforce management and analytics, including understanding of different engagement models, worker classifications, and cross-organizational partners

Experience with global data design (data fields, in/out analysis, impact analysis, etc.), proactively taking ownership of key analytical projects

Strong analytical skills, problem-solving capabilities, be flexible and able to handle multiple tasks concurrently

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors

Build relationships, collaborate, explain concepts in a simple and concise way, and influence outcomes

Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and metrics to drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement

Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Continuous improvement mindset to evolve and support the implementation of the Contingent Workforce strategy

Biase for action with passion to challenge the status quo

As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada or worldwide

Qualifications:

5+ years experience with contingent workforce data analytics, data mining and statistics

Proficiency with the reporting tools utilized by vendor management technologies (e.g. Fieldglass, Beeline, Workday VNDLY or equivalents)

Advance knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint

Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, OneModel or equivalents)

Proven track record of developing and implementing contingent workforce analytics solutions, ideally in a global capacity

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational management skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted.  It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.  In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.  Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
