Business Analyst, Product Development
Overview Job Purpose At Intercontinental Exchange, our exchanges and clearing houses across North America, Europe and Asia, deliver risk solutions across asset classes and time zones. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join a team that is critical to the success of the company by supporting the Derivative Valuations Platform responsible for producing daily pricing valuations for all Exchange cleared products, including Futures and Options. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing business needs both the operations team and sales team and translating them into comprehensive business and functional requirements. You will collaborate closely with various teams, including Clearing & Risk to identify and implement settlement enhancements. Additionally, you will work closely with development teams to ensure requirements are accurately developed and with QA teams to validate testing requirements. Responsibilities Serve as a bridge between business, operations, and technology teams during all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process. Support testing and implementation of settlement technology platform enhancements for production systems. Translate and communicate back and forth from a technical (finance and math) context to a business context. Act as a liaison between the business and technology areas to ensure that data-related business requirements are clearly defined, communicated, and well understood and considered as part of operational prioritization and planning. Interface with Clearing/Risk platforms to understand and implement required settlement enhancements. Adhere to company software development processes and standards. Assist operations with incident resolution. Follow changes in market trends as they relate to derivatives pricing. Knowledge and Experience Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or similar 2+ years’ experience in software product development, business analysis, or related field Experience with derivatives such as Energy, Commodity, or Financial futures and/or options markets is strongly preferred Fundamental knowledge in coding with Python, R, VBA, (especially in a modelling context) or similar is a plus SQL experience preferred; ability to execute and refine database queries for data analysis Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio)—Strong Excel skills required Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet daily deadlines Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills; technical and functional business writing skills required. Ability to effectively facilitate requirements gathering sessions, reviews, and issue resolution involving multiple stakeholders Schedule This role offers work from home flexibility of up to 1 days per week.
